When Covid-19 lockdown was instituted in March 2020, and the venue had to close its doors to the public, the owners and  permanent staff didn’t waste their time getting to work on reviving an old patch of farmland directly behind the venue.

Marcelle Coetzee has many years of growing and tending to food forests, and with funding from the venue started to develop the land using organic permaculture methods.

With a combination of seasonal vegetables, and young fruit trees going in, it is not going to be long before this projects starts to yield fresh organic produce for the restaurant, and for sale to the public.
